Producer Note:

Château Kirwan 2022 has a beautiful deep red colour. The wine is as dense as the red tears that slowly run down the sides of the glass. The nose displays red and black fruits. The attack is fresh, evolving rapidly into a soft, creamy palate that is also dense and with great sapidity. The wood is very discreet and integrated, adding notes of cinnamon and sweet pepper. The tannins are tight but not aggressive. They contribute to the wine's great length and ageing potential.

"Sandalwood, cumin and white pepper spice on the opening, well measured delivery, luscious black cherry fruits, love the lift through the finish, great quality and with real character. Very good with appellation typicity in this ripe year, this is the second time tasting since it bottle, and it continues to impress. 50% new oak."

"A dark ruby red, with purple hues, a light ochre rim. Red cherries, a hint of nougat, subtle liquorice, candied orange zest, an inviting bouquet. Taut, elegant, ripe red cherries, good freshness, balanced, ripe tannins, a mineral-salty finish, a hint of nougat in the aftertaste, good length, good ageing potential, wonderful with food."
