Producer Tasting Note:
This wine has an intense ruby red colour with garnet shades. Its fine and elegant flavour, full and complex, is characterised by notes of ripe cherry, dried blackberry and baked plum, pleasantly spiced with hints of tobacco, balsamic and Mediterranean rosemary. An intense taste, fine and balanced, with thick textured and dense tannins, voluminous and juicy, it is accompanied by a soft and persistent acidity that finishes with a deep, fruity, and spicy nutmeg, clove and black pepper finish.
Stefano Chioccioli is a real Italian maestro. He's been awarded over 100 Tres Bicchiere wines at the Gambero Rosso and even the much coveted 100/100 points from Robert Parker. Latterly, Stefano has turned his hand to his family estate in Chianti, which he runs with his two sons.
