With vineyards situated within the Bordeaux "Left Bank" Haut-Medoc appellation, this wine is made mostly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Tobacco, cigar box, cedar and peppery red currants pop on the nose. The fresh, sweet, vibrant, round palate has layers of sweet, earthy, tobacco stained fruit and fresh mint. Delightful to taste now, it will be even better in a few years. Clearly a step up in quality and character and is easily the best vintage of Beaumont to date
