Grapes: A certified organic blend of Grenache 60%, Syrah 30%, Mourvèdre 10%, stony/pebble soil, hand harvested, aged in new oak for 3 to 4 months.
Producer Tasting Note:
A powerful and well built wine, a deep ruby colour with violet tints. Complex nose of vanilla, blackberry, plum and griotte-cherries. The attack is rich and firm; the mouth expresses long lasting nuances of vanilla, garrigue, thyme and pepper. This is a smooth and rich wine with a very good length.
Since 2019, the domaine, located in Tavel, has been run by François et Jean-Baptiste Lafond and is currently in the process of becoming a fully biodynamic estate.
Food Match: Serve at 17 °C. A successful marriage with charcuterie, flank steak in red wine, Rossini steak tournedos, grilled rack of lamb, duck confit, or filet mignon with pepper sauce.
