Grape: 90% Chenin Blanc and 10%Viognier, lightly oaked, 3.1g/L residual sugar (Dry)

Fresh lemon and pear aromas give way to tropical passion fruit on the nose. Crisp acidity and a hint of oak add to the texture and wonderful fruit flavours linger on the palate. Exceptional value.

"The Painted Wolf 2024 Swartland The Den Chenin Blanc (in a screw-cap bottle) is a lot of fun with bright citrusy aromas, crushed stone and wild sage. The wine offers a crisp, lean feel to the palate, and this is exactly the bottle you need on a hot afternoon on the porch. Fruit comes from the Swartland and from heritage vines planted in 1974 in Wellington. There is an added 10% Viognier that adds honey and yellow rose. This 50,000-bottle release is partially oak aged."  Drink 2024-2027

This Chenin Blanc is harvested from a number of blocks on farms in Swartland and Wellington, both irrigated and dry farmed vines of various ages between 10 and 30 years old. The Swartland grapes were tank fermented using natural yeast and blended with a smaller portion of barrel-fermented wine from old vines in Wellington.
