Producer Tasting Note:

Fresh and aromatic with typical citrus grapefruit character and a subtle note of spicy anise on the nose. Its light, dry palate has grassy and citrus flavours giving the typical vibrant style associated with the Verdejo grape. Perfectly balanced between fruit and acidity.

Rueda is situated northwest of Madrid in central Spain and is almost entirely focused on white wine production. The vineyards are located at altitude, which causes strong temperature fluctuations between day and night. Hot days give ripe fruit and aromatic intensity, while cool nights bring fresh acidity and elegance. The grape, which is well suited to Rueda's continental climate, has been cultivated in Spain since the 11th century and makes up over 80% of the region's vineyards.

The story of Bodegas Pinord started more than 150 years ago, when the Tetas family began to make wines on their estate in Penedes. They have now extended their family expertise to Rueda. In 2007, Bodegas Pinord were the first Spanish winery to obtain a biodynamic wine certified by Demeter.
