The Tetas family has over 150 years of winemaking experience in Penedès and in the 1990s, the family decided to embark on a new phase of growth and acquired the Mas Blanc Estate in the Priorat appellation. Situated between the villages of Bellmunt and Falset, the estate covers 18 hectares of organically farmed vines. The family invested in the estate, creating vine terraces, planting native and imported grape varieties and building a brand-new winery. Third generation Joan Josep Tetas became a pioneer in organic viticulture, as he was convinced that it was essential to preserve the land for future generations. Staying true to this philosophy, they have gone a step further by adopting biodynamic organic farming practices. In 2007, Pinord was the first winery in Spain to receive the Demeter Certificate for Biodynamic Agriculture. The Tetas family’s philosophy is one of family tradition, with a pioneering and innovative spirit, a love for the land and a passion for great wines. Their wines are full of personality and are an authentic expression of the terroir.
