Producer Tasting Note:

Golden yellow, with greenish reflections.  On the nose, it's extraordinarily fragrant, with floral aromas, white fruit and menthol nuances. It has a clean and elegant aroma. In the mouth, the wine is fresh, broad and round, with apple and pear fruit and good persistence. It is polished with balanced acidity. The finish is clean and refreshing with a saline minerality.

This wine is made at the Pazo Pondal winery in the Condado de Tea region on the border with Portugal. This is the furthest inland and is the warmest and driest of the sub zones of Rias Baixas. The winery was founded in 1998 and is a young and dynamic family owned winery. Fruit is sourced from 4 plots (Pazo Longa, Torre, Alto, Rañado and Finca Pradera).

The story of Bodegas Pinord started more than 150 years ago, when the Tetas family began to make wines on their estate in Penedes. They have now extended their family expertise to Rias Baixas, another region which is best known for its exceptional white wines.

Food Match: It pairs perfectly with fresh seafood such as oysters, clams and steamed mussels. It also goes well with light, oily fish salads with citrus fruits and herb vinaigrette. A risotto of seasonal vegetables and white truffle can intensify the citrus and floral notes, while fresh goat cheese with honey and nuts creates a delicate and sophisticated match. Finally, a lemon mousse dessert with red fruits is the perfect accompaniment to close this fresh and balanced pairing.
