Producer Tasting Note:

Deep red in colour, this is a beautifully perfumed Pinot Noir with aromas of sweet red berries, subtle savoury spice (liquorice) and firm, yet rounded tannins. With age, the wine will reach its peak, revealing notes of leather and undergrowth.

The Property: Berthelemot is a young domaine, created as recently as 2006, as a result of the merging of the mature holdings of the Jean Garaudet and Yves Darviot estates. A family business, based in Meursault, and cultivating 15 hectares in the Côte de Beaune area (Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Beaune. etc). The wines have been certified "organic" from vintage 2021.

Pommard, regarded as "the flower of the wines of Beaune" since the Middle Ages, has always been synonymous with powerful, aromatic wines with great aging potential. Petits Noizons and Noizons are located upstream of the Premier Crus and rank among the finest "villages" of Pommard.
