Quinta do Vallado 10 Year Old Tawny Port 50cl 

A blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz aged in very old 600 litre oak casks and other old oak vats.

This has rich nutty, dried fruit aromas and luscious, sweet raisin, mocha chocolate, spice and medjool date flavours on the palate. 

Critics' Tasting Notes:

"It is an old vines field blend coming in at 110.4 grams per liter of residual sugar. Showing fine complexity for a 10, this adds a hint of treacle around the edges on opening and then becomes a classic 10--fresh and lively. It has a sweet conclusion, but the nice acidity keeps this on track. It's sunny demeanor and impeccable balance make it a pleasure to drink."

"Ripe nose with oxidative aromas, chalky, initially a hint of ripe cheese with a touch of Madeira and pecans. Becomes more complex and is one for the connoisseur. The palate is the reflection of the nose, with chalk dust, wonderful acidity and minerality. Demanding, austere and with great maturity and oxidative backbone. Lots of character, an unusual 10-year-old that comes across more like a 40-year-old Tawny."
