Suntory Hakushu 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, Japan

Colour: Gold. Aroma: Notes of forest pine, grass, delicate florals, green apple, and a soft wisp of smoke. Palate: Medium bodied, hint of cream, smooth flavours of honey, citrus zest, and light spices, with a gentle touch of peat. Finish: Elegant and smoky.

Produced at Suntory's Hakushu distillery in the verdant, forested surroundings of the Japanese Southern Alps' foothills. Aged for 10 years in a combination of American, Spanish, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks. This bottling of Hakushu's youngest "age statement" whisky was discontinued in 2018.

"Suntory’s second distillery was once the largest producer of malt whisky in the world. Located high in the Japanese Alps, its buildings are hidden within a thickly forested national park, and there is something of that environment in this expression, which is filled with the scents of fern, wet bamboo, pine, and mint.
