Grape: A blend of 60% Chardonnay, 30% Chenin and 10% Pinot Noir, hand harvested, traditional bottle fermented, 12 months' lees ageing

Producer Tasting Note:

Bright golden colour with floral, lemon and sweet-almond notes on the nose. Supple, very refreshing, quince & citrus fruit on the palate gives a well balanced wine with a mellow, brioche note on the finish. The Chardonnay adds a creamy element to the wine.

Critics' Tasting Notes:

"Light, creamy nose with just a hint of some autolysis. It's not bone dry but it's well made with enough acidity to counterbalance the lemony fruit. Looks more expensive than it is and it's (just) not too frothy. Clean and GV. (JR)"

Tholomies Crémant de Limoux goes back to the origins of the world's first sparkling wines discovered by the monks of the Abbey of Saint-Hilaire, in the south of France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. This Crémant is made in the heart of the vineyard, in the commune of Limoux.
