This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from vineyards planted in 1998, one of the first at the Fundo Trinidad estate in the west of the Maipo Valley, in what is known as coastal Maipo. Very much in the Grey line, this has soft tannins, ripe fruit, spicy tones, and a layer of herbal aromas that lend a touch of freshness to this elegant, subtle, and very well-balanced Cabernet

A non-traditional style of Cabernet Sauvignon, revealing the typical characteristics of the variety but from a very elegant perspective. In place of the classic robustness, in this wine you can discern the subtle notes of chocolate, tobacco and black pepper, together with the fine French oak, which gives it a long, smooth finish..

"This is a sophisticated version of cabernet sauvignon from the coastal Maipo area, where Ventisquero has vineyards as well as its main winemaking facility. The aromas and flavors correspond to what you might expect from the area—the soft and very elegant tannins that are almost imperceptible in the middle of a layer of flavors of red fruit ripened to perfection. It also has slight mentholated touches in a wine that has complexity, but most of all, is a pleasure to drink."

"A red blend composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged for 18 months in oak barrels, 25% of which are new. Among the best, if not the best, vintage of this wine tasted to date. It displays floral, herbal, and spicy notes enveloping its fresh red and black fruit, with firm, fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity lending fluidity and depth to the whole. Full of typicity, it has a vertical, crisp, and persistent finish with earthy, cassis, and licorice touches. Alcohol 13.5%."
