Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano, Duca Di Saragnano, Tuscany, Italy, 2020
Grapes: A blend of Tuscan grapes, mostly Sangiovese (clone known here as Prugnolo Gentile) and Canaiolo Nero, aged in large oak barrels for 18 months.
Intense purple red with a garnet rim. The nose is broad and powerful with notes of violets, red currants, spices and tobacco. In the mouth it has balanced tannins, a fleshy mid palate and a mouth-cleansing finish. The wine will benefit from decanting.
Produced from the vineyards around the town of Montepulciano in southern Tuscany.
