Boldy Barossan. An enticing nose of broody black plum, blackberry, aniseed and star anise, along with oak derived cedar & hints of supple leather. Powerful palate of rich blackberry, olive tapenade and vanillin spice, and powerful grippy tannins.

The Barossa Valley Wine Company was established in the small hamlet of Lyndoch in 2001. "The Farms", being our spiritual home, therefore our traditional take on a Barossa Shiraz is named after the site. Fruit for this wine is always the best parcel from the vintage. Very often showcasing a portion of the blend from the Riverside Block as well as the best parcels from The Farms Vineyard. The combination of location and shallow, hungry red-brown earth soils of clay, loam and rock, are rich in nutrients and make the vines work hard. This produces fruit that is intensely concentrated and rich in flavour and colour due to yields of only six tonnes per hectare. It is this unique blend of elevation, soils and winemaking that results in a big, bold traditional Barossa Valley Shiraz, but with an elegance that comes from the cooler vineyard site and old vines. The super-premium fruit parcels are sourced from iconic sites in the Barossa Valley and this wine is a quintessential regional release.
