Grapes: A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, surface gravel over clay sub-soil, 43hl/ha yield, aged in French oak barrels for 14-16 months (35% new wood)

Now ready to drink, this "second" wine of Chateau D' Issan 3eme Grand Cru Classé is produced from the youngest vines of the "clos", offering a tasty round fruitiness, which can be enjoyed earlier than the main wine. On the nose, a nice balance between the red fruits and toasted aromas. Soft and silky tannins. Long finish.
