The nose has aromas of ripe red fruits, strawberries, and spices which mingle on the palate with soft and silky tannins in this rounded wine.
Western Cape is the large wine region around Cape Town which is responsible for producing most of South Africa’s quality wine. The cooling Atlantic breezes provide perfect growing conditions for many grape varieties. The wines are not quite as acidic as their European counterparts, but the increased exposure to the sun tends to lend them more weight and fruit and therefore consumer appeal.
