Grapes: A blend of 75% Semillon, 23% Sauvignon and 2% Muscadelle, clay/limestone soils, manual harvest, barrel fermented, aged 18 months in new French oak 

Supremely elegant Barsac with fine balance of sugar and acidity. Really fine and fresh dessert wine with fantastic, sweet honeyed fruit and a long, clean finish.

Please Note: This wine may exhibit tartrate crystals or “wine diamonds”. These are naturally occurring substances, a result of the wine not been overly manipulated in the production method, and do not affect the aroma, taste, or quality of the wine. When it comes to serving either decant the wine or filter it through a muslin cloth.

"This is the best example of a young Chateau Coutet I have ever tasted. Intense notes of honey drenched pineapple, orange, apricot, nectarine, nuts and minerality focus your attention. Rich, pure, sweet, powerful and refined, there is the perfect amount of lift and balance to keep you interested in tasting the wine. The assemblage this vintage was made from 75% Semillon , 23% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle. Bravo Aline!"

Food Match: The chateau recommends a sweet pairing of white chocolate and roasted apricot fool, or even a savoury match of Tamarind-glazed turkey, Sauternes chestnuts and sweet potato chips alongside a side dish of creamed parsnip and beetroot with roasted lemon and oregano.
