Grapes: A blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc, 50ha vineyard planted on gravel over clay & sand soils, manual harvest, 16 months' ageing in French oak barrels (40% new) 

The chateau was formed nearly 100 years after the 1855 Bordeaux classification by the acquisition of various vineyard plots from Saint Julien properties including Beychevelle, Léoville-Barton and Gruaud-Larose. The wine produced is considered to be of classed growth standard.

"Boom! There is class and depth in the sensory profile that comes alive from the start with notes of geraniums, lime, cloves, raspberries, currants and guarana. Medium body, perfectly ripe tannins of extreme grace and a persuasive and enthralling finish that makes floral beauty in the aftertaste its main weapon.
