Description
Château Tour Bel Air, Montagne Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France, 2022
Grapes: A blend of 95% Merlot & 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in concrete vats, 25% of final blend aged in oak barriques
Producer Tasting Note:
Full-bodied plummy fruit, with some darker berry notes, is well balanced by supple tannin. The finish has hints of leather and earth. The higher Merlot content in the blend aids the soft and approachable character of this wine. Drink within 10 years.
The Laporte family settled in Montagne Saint-Emilion in 1760 and started to work with a few hectares. Today, 25 hectares are planted at Tour Bel Air, and Bruno Laporte also has estates in the Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux and Saint-Emilon Grand Cru appellations.
Food Match: Great with red meats, cheeses, tomato-based dishes and mushrooms
