Description
Chateau Troupian, Haut Medoc, Bordeaux, France, 2022
Grapes: A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, gravel soil, aged in French oak barrels
Producer Tasting Note:
Very deep crimson colour, brilliant with violet tinges. Fruity-spicy nose, complex, with aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry and plum, underpinned by cedar, tobacco and a touch of graphite. Fleshy mouth, balanced and persistent with notes of black fruit and vanilla. The 2022 vintage reflects ripe fruit and careful oak integration, aimed at balance and early accessibility while retaining regional structure.
An estate with a rising reputation, located just west of Saint-Estèphe. Crafted by superstar consultant Michel Rolland.
Critical Acclaim:
Awarded GOLD at Concours de Bordeaux Vins d'Aquitaine, 2024 and GOLD at Challenge International du Vin, 2024
Food Match: Grilled red meat, matured cheeses.
