Grape: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, matured in oak barrels for 12 months 

Made from pre-phylloxera vines, this unique wine is from one of the oldest family owned estates in Chile. With an intense ruby red colour, its bouquet is clear and fruity, with a perfect balance between fruit and oak, where prunes, blackberries and spicy notes outstand. To the palate, it is pleasant and with great presence of ripe red and black fruits. It presents medium acidity, rounded tannins and a long finish. 

A great wine with a few years cellaring.

"The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Antiguas Reservas from Maipo Alto spent 12 months aging in American oak barrels. Garnet red with a purple sheen. The intense nose offers blackcurrant and black pepper over layers of bay leaf and blueberry with hints of mint and ash. In the mouth, it's fairly compact with clear, satisfying flavors helped along by the finely tuned tannins. A textbook Cab from Maipo."

It is a cabernet made from 70% vines planted in Buin in the 1990s, and the rest comes from 20-year-old vines grown beside the winery in Macul.
