Grenache Blanc is a variety of white wine grape that is related to the red grape Grenache. It is mostly found in southern Rhône or Languedoc-Roussillon wine blends, and in northeast Spain. Its wines are characterised by high alcohol, low acidity and an oily texture, with citrus and/or herbaceous notes, including green plums, pears, lemon zest, honeysuckle, and toast (for oaked versions). These full-bodied, dry whites are great accompaniments to meatier fish (tuna & swordfish), saffron infused paella, Thai coconut based curries, and a wide selection of creamy or nutty cheeses.
