Grape: 100% Malvasia, grown on pergolas, sustainable, biodynamic, wild ferment, unoaked, 9g/L residual sugar (off dry)

Producer Tasting Note:

This impressive Malvasia comes from the Abruzzo region of Italy. Pale gold in colour with a nose of ripe stone fruits and fresh flowers. The palate is soft and ripe with notes of nectarine, peach, orange zest and candied lemon peel. The opulent flavours are balanced perfectly by a fresh acidity and a long, fruity finish with even a touch of honey.

Malvasia is one of the oldest cultivated grape varieties and found its way from Asia Minor via Greece to all of Europe in ancient times. The grape variety is known for its expressive aroma and rich taste.

Abruzzo wine cooperative, Cantina Orsogna, has 1100ha of vineyards planted high in the hills, situated close to both the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic coast of central Italy, and produces nearly all of its wines organically; one third under biodynamic principles.
