Grapes: A blend of Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc & Chardonnay, Methode Traditionelle, aged 12 months on its lees
La Grande Marque has an attractive straw yellow colour with fine bubbles and a regular bead. The floral bouquet is typical of the Chenin Blanc variety. This sparkling wine is fresh and lively on the palate with a very elegant aftertaste and, despite a very low sugar level, it is light and well-balanced.
Produced using the "Traditional Method" (second fermentation in bottle), it's an ideal alternative to Champagne.
Food Match: Saumur Brut is excellent as an aperitif. Its crisp, lively character makes it the ideal wine with which to start off the evening. Serve chilled, cuvee "La Grand Marque" is a perfect choice to accompany all starters but also fish and poultry cooked with cream.
