Producer Tasting Note:
The colour is lovely and bright. On the nose, aromas of blackcurrant and redcurrant, with some spicy notes (vanilla, leather and liquorice) and plenty of freshness. The palate is supple and juicy, with a mouthwatering finish.
This wine, using the fruit from younger vines, is the "second" label of the Grand Cru Classé property Chateau Tour Saint Christophe. Owned, since 2012, by Hong Kong billionaire, Peter Kwok, whose company, Vignobles K Group, also runs both Château Bellefont-Belcier in Saint-Émilion and Château La Patache in Pomerol. The estate is located at the eastern end of the St. Emilion plateau.
