The Maison Bertrand Ambroise wine estate is located in the village of Premeaux-Prissey, next to Nuits Saint Georges, Established in Burgundy for 5 generations, the house is passionate about growing vines, working in a 100% natural and organic way, without synthetic products.
The origins of the estate date back to the 18th century with the cultivation of cereals, blackcurrants and vines. Specialising in wine since the early 1940s, it was in 1977 that Bertrand and Martine (his daughter) took over the reins of the estate with an expansion of the vineyards from 12 to 17 hectares. Today, the family adventure continues with the help of the grandchildren, Ludivine and François.
Now, growing only Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligote, the Ambroise family are best known for their Nuits Saint Georges wines, including three "Premier Cru" bottlings and an "Old Vines" cuvée.
The village-level Nuits Saint Georges wine has more than a decade's ageing and is now in its prime drinking window. It's not often that top quality, mature, drinking Burgundy is available to buy in single bottles straight from our air-conditioned cellars at such an advantageous price!

What do you get in the bottle?
On the nose, fruity notes of black cherry and plum with an underlying florality. A powerful, concentrated palate with a tannic, structured feel backed up by fresh acidity, a compote of black fruits and a light touch of toasty oak. Now, with 10+ years of ageing, the perfect bottle for the first Autumn game dish.
