Grapes: 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz, 30% Tinta Barroca/Touriga Franca, hand picked

Based in the Pinhao Valley, Portal 2003+ Vintage Port grapes come mainly from a young parcel of Touriga Nacional at Quinta dos Muros. The fruit was so exciting that it was decided to blend it in this very unique Port.

For the first time Quinta do Portal declared 2 different Vintage Ports in the same year. The 2003+, like the classic, was considered one of the best of the year. In fact, both of them were among the best 5 wines of 2003 as per Jancis Robinson!

It has great ripe fruit, but more fresh and young, allied to its powerful tannins, making it dense, intense, but smooth and very pleasant.

The production was about 1/3 compared to the classic bottling.
