Grape: 100% Chardonnay, loamy limestone over clay subsoil, 55 year old vines, practising organic, manual harvest, fermentation in vat, 40% matured 10 months in oak barrels (20% new) with lees stirring

Producer Tasting Note:

The Vieilles Vignes (old vines) Pouilly-Fuissé displays a bright golden colour. On the nose, it opens on notes of lemon zest and fresh butter with hints of baked pastry. The palate is fresh but round, where subtle oak and flinty minerality add texture and depth to the long, graceful finish.

Estate: Domaine Corsin is a multi generation family business based in the Macon town of Davayé. They have made outstanding wines in Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé since 1864 and were among the first to label their wines as Pouilly-Fuissé and Mâcon Blanc. Today, the domaine is run by the sixth generation of the Corsin family, Jérémy, and comprises 13.6 hectares of Chardonnay, of which nine are in Saint-Véran.
