Grape: 100% Chardonnay from a single 2ha very stony limestone/clay plot, average 47 year old vines, first certified organic vintage, barrel fermented, aged 6 months in 15% new oak

Pale gold in colour with citrus, toasted almonds and floral aromas. A full-bodied, creamy palate with nutty and lemon citrus notes. Good value white Burgundy, clean, ripe Chardonnay fruit and elegant with lovely balance.

Critic's Tasting Note:

"The oak is subtle but gives a mealy spiced note to clothe the ripe stone fruit. And there's a stone-dust mineral impression too. Rich and deep, rounded and creamy on the palate." Drink 2025-2028

The Rully property was established in the 1970's by Roger Jobard and his daughter, Claudie, began working at the domaine in 2002. For over 60 years the Jobard family have been working as vine nurserymen and their experience is now applied to winemaking in the Chalonnaise and also in Beaune & Pommard. 

Food Match: Veal, ham, poultry in a creamy white sauce, mussels, mushroom risotto, white meat, fish in a white sauce, paté & terrines, frogs' legs, rabbit in white wine, Beaufort and Comté cheeses.
