Producer Tasting Note:
This Saint-Véran is a pale gold wine with rich, floral honeysuckle and acacia aromas. Succulent, fruity and fresh, aromatic un-oaked Chardonnay, full of ripe mango and white peach flavours, well-balanced with juicy citrus fruit and a lovely long finish.
Created by friends Christian Collovray and Jean-Luc Terrier in 1986, this domaine is now highly reputed amongst the producers of the Maconnais. It is situated between the majestic Roches de Solutré and Vergisson, south of Macon.
Food Match: Serve lightly chilled (10-11˚C). This wine pairs well with fish, seafood, and poultry. It is equally suited to a number of cheeses: goat's cheese, blue de Bress, Comté, Beaufort, and Gruyeres.
