Grape: 100% Malbec
A rich, fruity wine, the grapes come from vineyards located at the foot of the Andes, where fertile soils are irrigated by clean, pure melt water. It shows aromas of blackberry & blueberry fruits and leather, whilst on the palate there are plenty of ripe fruit flavours, notably damson and prune and a subtle hint of liquorice. The soft tannins help to give an attractive mellow mouthfeel that makes this a most enjoyable, easy drinking red.
Valle de Ceibo Malbec is named in honour of the national tree of Argentina, the deciduous Ceibo, also known as the ‘floss silk tree’.
Food Match: The wine, served at room temperature, is a perfect match with grilled or barbecued steak, this wine is also lovely with rich tomato based dishes or slow roasted vegetables.
