Carmenere

Carménère is a wine grape variety originally planted in the Médoc region of Bordeaux but is known now as the signature red wine of Chile. A member of the Cabernet family, these wines have a deep red colour and aromas found in red fruits, spices and berries. The tannins are gentler and softer than those in Cabernet Sauvignon and the wines are mostly medium bodied.
