Grape: 100% Sauvignon Blanc, very old vines, clay/flint silex soil, 35hl/ha yield, biodynamic management, in conversion to organic (certified in 2023), aged on fine lees, unoaked

Producer Tasting Note:

Appearance: Golden reflections, brilliant. Nose: The first nose is very intense on boxwood, blackcurrant bud and the sweet almond. At the opening, we perceive more fruity notes of fresh citrus fruits, especially lemon. By continuing to breathe, we move on to a richer profile: candied orange and apricot jelly followed by fresh notes of green pepper and basil. Palate: The attack is very frank, dominated by citrus fruits and more exotics notes of mango. The acidity rises gradually to offer a mineral chiselled palate evolving on hints of borage. The finish is very saline, floral with a very nice length.

Critics Tasting Notes:

"Pouilly Fumé can be multifaceted and complex, and this wine is a perfect example. Gold in color with a decidedly herbal nose, this wine immediately dives into overripe green pear, dried summer field grass, white nectarine, orange marmalade and forest floor, while flirting with brioche. Inklings of chalkiness revel on the midpalate along with notes of thyme and dill. Drink now, but this elegant wine can continue to develop through 2029."

"Bright with a light golden hue. Pure and intense with some flinty notes with fine layers of lemongrass, lime, ripe citrus, yellow stone fruit and mint with lees-derived fresh butter and creamy hints. A sleek texture, yet with dense fruit and lovely flavour intensity, fine extract, and vivid acidity, gives great lift to the rather exotic fruit, very long and lingering finish with both grassy, flinty and fruity notes."
