Description

Chateau Minuty "M" de Minuty, Provence Rosé, France, 2025

Grapes: A blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Cinsault and 5% Tibouren, certified sustainable, practising organic, no malolactic to keep fresh acidity, unoaked, 1g/L residual sugar (bone dry)

Producer Tasting Note:

The appearance is clear and brilliant, with a pale hue and rose-petal nuances. The nose is clean and complex, expressing aromas of red fruit mingled with notes of white-fleshed fruit. The palate is rich and lively, extending into a persistent, harmonious finish.

Critics' Tasting Notes:

"With this "Minuty M, Rosé 2025," the first impression is a promise of freshness. The nose opens directly with citrus notes—pink grapefruit and lemon—soon joined by hints of white peach, melon, and small red berries. An airy, floral nuance adds depth without ever weighing down the profile. On the palate, the attack is lively, driven by precise acidity that immediately sets the flavors in motion. The fruit notes unfold with remarkable clarity, blending the lusciousness of fresh strawberry with the elegance of white-fleshed fruit. A subtle touch of citrus zest extends the sensation of freshness, while a discreet minerality adds definition and tension. Each aroma seems to respond to the last with masterful simplicity. The texture is supple, fluid, and luminous, leading to a long, clean, saline finish. This rosé captivates with its precision, balance, and rare ability to evoke the radiant charm of Provence."  Drink 2026-2027

92/100 points, BACCHUS MAGAZINE (Canada), January 2026

"Silvery pink. Smells like raspberry ice lolly. A sense of creaminess that has nothing to do with cream but just makes me think of the inside of a scallop shell: pearly, pinkly white. The poster child for ‘Provence rosé – considering the vast volumes that this wine is produced in every year, it’s pretty damn good. All the required boxes firmly ticked."  Drink 2026

16/20 points, Tamlyn Currin, JancisRobinson.com, March 2026

Estate: In 1936, wine merchant Gabriel Farnet purchased the original 17ha vineyard and estate located near St. Tropez in the French Riviera and replanted the property's vines after WW2. In 1955, the estate was one of 23 properties recognised as a classified growth of the Côtes de Provence. Monique Matton, Gabriel's daughter, joined the company in 1960 and she was responsible for designing the bottle called "corset flute", now associated with the Minuty M Rosé vintage which has become emblematic of the Côtes de Provence. Twenty years later, her two sons, Etienne and François Matton, joined the team at the estate and, in 2022, the 4th generation, Anne-Victoire, arrived at the property. Since 2023 the estate has become part of the LVMH fashion and drinks group.

Food Match: Serve at 10°C. Ideal as an aperitif or paired with Salade Niçoise, crudités, shrimp cocktail, gazpacho, lime-infused langoustines, seafood pizza, or crab legs
