English Sparkling Wine

English sparkling wine is a world class wine in its own right thanks to the investment of the English wine makers, global warming and the chalk soils in the south. The majority of wines use the traditional bottle fermentation method and often contain Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in their make-up. Several French Champagne houses have now bought land in the south of England for production of wines under their own brand names.
