From a 0.26 ha parcel of vines planted in 1931 in the Echezeaux climat Les Champs Traversins, which is occasionally referred to as Le Petit Cîteaux.
"A beautifully well-layered nose offers up an abundance of spice and floral elements that add plenty of breadth to the mostly red berry liqueur scents. The seductively textured big-bodied flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract that does a fine job of buffering the firm tannic spine shaping the lush, opulent and wonderfully persistent finish. Anne-Françoise is Jean GROS of Vosne-Romanée‘s daughter. The Domaine AF GROS has been created in 1988 when Jean and Jeanine GROS started to transmit the family Domaine (first knew as Domaine GROS-RENAUDOT and then as Domaine Louis GROS). At the same time, Anne-Françoise acquired a Domain in Flagey Echezeaux with her husband Jean GROS and in 1995 they purchased a vineyard in Savigny les Beaune. In 1996 Jean and Jeanine GROS retired and so they divided the Jean GROS Domain between their three children Michel, Bernard and Anne-Françoise. Each Domaine is autonomous and independent (Domaine Michel GROS in Vosne Romanée, Domaine GROS Frère & Soeur directed by Bernard in Vosne Romanée, and Domaine Anne-Françoise GROS in Pommard). So there are four famous Domaines GROS.
