Producer Tasting Note:

A bouquet of ripe fruit on a spicy background. The aromas of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackcurrant are soft and refined. The palate has a distinct velvety texture. A wine for laying down, balancing richness and tannins, texture and structure with a lively first impression on the palate.

The Domaine:

The winery was founded in 1887 by Eugène-François Chevillon. In 1946, his two grandsons Georges and Maurice shared the family estate. In 1947, Domaine Georges Chevillon grew by acquiring the plot in the top Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint-Georges. The winery in its current form was created as Domaine Michel Chevillon in 1988 and run by Michel with his wife Pascale. With the entry of daughter Claire and her husband Philippe Chezeaux, Domaine Chevillon Chezeaux was created in 2000, which currently cultivates around eight hectares in 15 different appellations. In order to respect the typicality and authenticity of each terroir, the methods of cultivation, vinification and ageing have remained traditional, relying on modern and efficient techniques and equipment. The domaine is most well known for its Nuits-St-Georges wine.
